Blues guitarist Steve Grills satisfies blues lovers with his new CD release After Hours. Grills shows his dedication to the blues, paying tribute to the great blues artists who inspired him to play. On this recording Grills is supported by legendary pianist Ernest Lane. Lane's career reaches back to the late 40's when he backed up Robert Nighthawk on his seminal recordings Sweet Black Angel and Annie Lee Blues. Steve Gomes is considered to be one of the finest bassists on the blues scene. He is part of the Severn Records studio band , playing on many of the lables deep soul and blues recordings . Gomes career goes back to the west coast scene of the late 60's , where he played with John Lee Hooker. Gomes went on to join Ronnie Earl's band and recorded with him on the BlackTop Label. Drummer Mike Plouffe is a long time musical partner of Grills and has toured with Larry Davis and Johnny Rawls.
